KeepsakeRefund Policy
Refundable in full any time before we email your license key. Once the key has been sent, the sale is final — an offline license activates on your own device, and there is no activation server we could switch off to take it back.
To be exact, because the distinction matters: we can withdraw a specific key that has been published or resold, and a withdrawal reaches a device on its next update (see Terms §2). What we cannot do is undo a delivered key on demand — a copy already activated keeps working until it is updated, which is why a delivered key cannot be un-sold. That is the reason for this policy, not a limitation we are hiding behind.

Before your key is issued — full refund
You request an upgrade, we email you an invoice, and you pay by bank transfer or Wise. At any point before we send your license key — including if you change your mind after paying — email us (address in the imprint) from the address on your invoice, with the invoice number, and we return the full amount by the same route it arrived, within 5 business days. No reason needed. Intermediary-bank fees on the way back are outside our control, but we send the full invoice amount.
Once your key is emailed — the sale is final
Asking us to issue your key is a request for immediate delivery of a digital good, and by requesting it you accept that the refund window closes the moment it is sent. This isn't a technicality: a Keepsake key is a signed file that activates entirely offline. There are no Keepsake servers in the loop — the same zero-server design that means we can never read your documents also means we have no way to deactivate or revoke a key once it is in your hands. So please be sure before you ask for it.
Try before you buy
You don't have to pay to evaluate Keepsake. The free tier never expires — 25 documents with full AES-256 encryption, OCR, Secure Send, and the Recovery/Legacy/Paper backup kits — so you can live in the core experience first and only upgrade once you know it fits.
If something is broken
A final sale is not us washing our hands: if a feature you paid for doesn't work, email us anyway and we will fix it or make it right. Bugs are our problem, not yours. And your documents are always yours regardless — they live on your devices, encrypted, and stay fully readable and exportable whatever happens to your license or to us.
Renewals
Yearly plans are not pro-rated; if you don't renew you simply keep Premium until the paid year ends and then return to the free tier (your documents are untouched). A renewal payment follows this same policy — refundable until the new key is issued.
